Regulatory and Mandatory Standards

Our organization is committed to sustainability and will adhere to the following key standards and regulations:

  • Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD): As part of our compliance with the EU’s CSRD, we will develop and provide detailed reports on our sustainability practices, covering a wide range of environmental and social metrics.
  • UK Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR): In line with the UK’s SDR, we ensure that our sustainability information is comprehensive and meets the regulatory requirements, which are expected to be enforced from 2024.

By adhering to these standards, we aim to enhance transparency, accountability, and our overall environmental performance, contributing to a sustainable future.

Action Beyond Regulatory Compliance

Our Buildings:

Renewable Energy Adaptation

We have installed natural light roof panels and roof-mounted solar panels in our warehouses to reduce and eventually eliminate reliance on fossil fuels, thereby lowering our greenhouse gas emissions.

Electricity Consumption

Our largest source of emissions stems from energy consumption generated through our global operational capabilities and business practices. To normalize our carbon footprint, we considered factors such as the solutions and services we provide, sales, number of staff, and the area of our global offices.

Smart Workspaces

Through our assessments across global offices, we identified various best practices. Our Smart Workspaces are equipped with:

  • Sensored LED lighting
  • Modern HVAC units and underfloor heating systems incorporating heat recovery
  • 62% renewable energy generated by wind turbines

Waste Reduction and Recycling Programs

We promote a paper-free environment in our offices, which reduces energy consumption, cuts costs, and minimizes waste. Comprehensive recycling programs are implemented throughout all our facilities and warehouses.

Water Conservation

All our offices are equipped with water-efficient fixtures and systems, contributing to reduced water waste.

Biodiversity Projects

We are committed to creating and maintaining green spaces, such as parks and gardens, and supporting local wildlife habitats, which go beyond basic land use and development requirements.

Sustainable Procurement

Our organization integrates sustainability into our procurement processes, recognizing the significant environmental, social, and economic impacts of our purchasing decisions. We adhere to the following principles:

  • Environmental Considerations: Prioritizing goods and services with minimal environmental impact, including products with lower carbon footprints, reduced waste, and sustainable resource usage. We aim to work with suppliers committed to environmental stewardship.
  • Social Responsibility: Supporting fair labour practices, human rights, and community well-being. We engage with suppliers who uphold ethical standards and contribute positively to society, ensuring safe working conditions, fair wages, and respect for workers’ rights.
  • Economic Sustainability: Achieving value for money over the entire lifecycle of products and services, considering long-term costs and benefits, including maintenance, disposal, and potential environmental impacts. We balance cost-effectiveness with sustainability.
  • Supplier Diversity: Promoting diversity within our supply chain by engaging with suppliers from diverse backgrounds, including minority-owned, women-owned, and small businesses. This fosters innovation, supports economic growth, and reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

Renewable Electricity Procurement

Our organization is committed to sourcing electricity from renewable energy sources to reduce our carbon footprint and support sustainable energy practices. We employ the following methods:

  • Onsite Generation: Investing in and installing renewable energy systems, such as solar panels or wind turbines, on our premises. This allows us to generate and consume renewable electricity directly, reducing reliance on external energy sources.
  • Green Electricity Products: Purchasing green electricity products from energy suppliers. These products guarantee that the electricity we consume is matched by an equivalent amount of renewable energy fed into the grid, often verified through certificates like Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) in the UK or Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) in the USA.
  • Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs): Entering into long-term agreements with renewable energy producers to purchase electricity at a fixed price.

Whistleblowing Mechanism

Our organisation is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of environmental integrity and accountability. To support this commitment, we have implemented a comprehensive whistleblowing mechanism to ensure that any concerns regarding unethical, illegal, or unsafe practices are reported and addressed effectively. The key components of our whistleblowing mechanism include:

Reporting Channels:

We offer multiple channels for all our stakeholders to report their concerns, including a      dedicated email (whistleblowing@eosits.com), and direct reporting to the HSEQ Manager, CEO, COO, or CCO. These channels are accessible, confidential, and allow for anonymous reporting if desired.

Investigation Process:

Upon receiving a report, it is reviewed by a designated team or officer who assesses its validity. If the report is deemed credible, a thorough investigation is conducted. This may involve gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and consulting relevant experts to ensure a fair and comprehensive investigation.

Resolution and Feedback:

Following the investigation, appropriate actions are taken to address the issue. This may include disciplinary measures, policy changes, or other corrective actions. The whistleblower is informed about the outcome of the investigation, ensuring transparency and trust in the system.

Training and Awareness:

We conduct regular training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees about environmental issues and the importance of reporting unethical behaviour. This helps foster a culture of openness and accountability within the organisation.

Continuous Improvement:

We regularly audit and review our whistleblowing mechanism to ensure its effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
