Introduction
In response to the current climate crisis, EOS IT Solutions, as a global organization, is committed to engaging in projects that reduce emissions and protect the environment. Our promise to reduce (and eventually eliminate) emissions demonstrates our dedication to sustainability, driving innovation, and offering our customers, partners, and employees increased confidence in EOS’s resilience to improve our planet’s atmosphere.
We aim to comply with internationally recognized laws and national regulations that apply in each country where our business operates. Our operations impact the environment through energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation. At EOS, we continuously influence and take corrective action to operate our global organization in an environmentally responsible manner in line with the Paris Agreement and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Responsibility
This environmental policy applies to our board of directors, employees in all global business functions, EOS warehousing, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders associated with our organization. All EOS stakeholders have a responsibility to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met across all our operational functions and beyond.
Environmental Commitments
Air Impacts
EOS IT Solutions does not generate industrial air emissions, VOCs, or chemical pollutants. Under ESRS E2, our impacts relate only to minor operational factors such as warehouse noise, dust from packaging handling, and traffic from logistics partners. These are managed through existing Health & Safety procedures, indoor air quality controls, and standard housekeeping practices.
Packaging Commitment
EOS manages packaging impacts through structured sorting, removal of inbound materials during BOM builds, reuse of pallets, and recycling of cardboard and plastics. We continuously implement waste minimisation measures across warehouses in alignment with ESRS E5 on resource efficiency and circularity.
Circular Economy
By adhering to the Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP), we develop and offer our business partners more resilient systems that support their circular economy targets, benefiting both the environment and the economy. Regulatory and Mandatory Standards
Our organization is committed to sustainability and will adhere to the following key standards and regulations:
- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI): We will follow and implement the GRI framework to transparently report our environmental, economic, and social impacts. This includes our efforts in biodiversity conservation, waste management, emissions reduction, and ensuring health and safety.
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD): As part of our compliance with the EU’s CSRD, we will develop and provide detailed reports on our sustainability practices, covering a wide range of environmental and social metrics.
- UK Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR): In line with the UK’s SDR, we ensure that our sustainability information is comprehensive and meets the regulatory requirements, which are expected to be enforced from 2024.
- Other Standards: EOS aligns its environmental management with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), specifically ESRS E1, E2, E3, E4 and E5, as applicable to our business model. EOS also aligns its environmental commitments with the Paris Agreement, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the EU Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP), and the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
By adhering to these standards, we aim to enhance transparency, accountability, and our overall environmental performance, contributing to a sustainable future.
Action Beyond Regulatory Compliance
Our Buildings:
Renewable Energy Adaptation
We have installed natural light roof panels and roof‑mounted solar PV systems in our warehouses to reduce and eventually eliminate reliance on fossil fuels, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions. These investments support our long‑term transition to clean energy across EOS‑controlled sites.
Electricity Consumption
Energy consumption is the largest contributor to EOS’s operational emissions. To optimise our carbon footprint, we evaluate performance across our global offices and warehouses, considering factors such as building size, occupancy, operational practices, and energy source. This enables EOS to prioritise energy‑efficiency improvements and expand renewable electricity procurement as part of our 2030 sustainability commitments.
Smart Workspaces
Through assessments across global offices, we identified opportunities to enhance building efficiency and reduce energy demand. Our Smart Workspaces are equipped with:
- Sensored LED lighting
- Modern HVAC units and underfloor heating systems incorporating heat‑recovery
- 62% renewable energy supplied by wind turbines
These features support EOS’s wider goals for energy performance and climate impact reduction.
Waste Reduction and Recycling Programs
EOS promotes a paper free environment across offices to reduce energy use, costs, and waste generation. Comprehensive recycling programs are implemented throughout all facilities and warehouses. EOS tracks waste volumes annually, including recycling rates and hazardous e‑waste to support ESRS E5 resource‑use and circularity disclosures.
Water Conservation
Based on ESRS E3, water is considered a low‑materiality topic for EOS IT Solutions. We use water only in offices and warehouses for sanitary and operational purposes. EOS monitors usage through utility bills and promotes efficient water use, ensuring responsible and minimal environmental impact.
All offices are equipped with water‑efficient fixtures and systems, contributing to reduced water waste. As a low‑materiality ESRS E3 topic for EOS, our efforts focus on operational efficiency rather than industrial water management.
Biodiversity Projects
We are committed to creating and maintaining green spaces, such as parks and gardens, and supporting local wildlife habitats, which go beyond basic land use and development requirements.
Sustainable Procurement
Our organization integrates sustainability into our procurement processes, recognizing the significant environmental, social, and economic impacts of our purchasing decisions. We adhere to the following principles:
- Environmental Considerations: Prioritizing goods and services with minimal environmental impact, including products with lower carbon footprints, reduced waste, and sustainable resource usage. We aim to work with suppliers committed to environmental stewardship.
- Social Responsibility: Supporting fair labour practices, human rights, and community well-being. We engage with suppliers who uphold ethical standards and contribute positively to society, ensuring safe working conditions, fair wages, and respect for workers’ rights.
- Economic Sustainability: Achieving value for money over the entire lifecycle of products and services, considering long-term costs and benefits, including maintenance, disposal, and potential environmental impacts. We balance cost-effectiveness with sustainability.
- Supplier Diversity: Promoting diversity within our supply chain by engaging with suppliers from diverse backgrounds, including minority-owned, women-owned, and small businesses. This fosters innovation, supports economic growth, and reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
Renewable Electricity Procurement
Our organization is committed to sourcing electricity from renewable energy sources to reduce our carbon footprint and support sustainable energy practices. We employ the following methods:
- Onsite Generation: Investing in and installing renewable energy systems, such as solar panels or wind turbines, on our premises. This allows us to generate and consume renewable electricity directly, reducing reliance on external energy sources.
- Green Electricity Products: Purchasing green electricity products from energy suppliers. These products guarantee that the electricity we consume is matched by an equivalent amount of renewable energy fed into the grid, often verified through certificates like Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) in the UK or Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) in the USA.
- Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs): Entering into long-term agreements with renewable energy producers to purchase electricity at a fixed price.
Whistleblowing Mechanism
Our organisation is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of environmental integrity and accountability. To support this commitment, we have implemented a comprehensive whistleblowing mechanism to ensure that any concerns regarding unethical, illegal, or unsafe practices are reported and addressed effectively. The key components of our whistleblowing mechanism include:
Reporting Channels:
We offer multiple channels for all our stakeholders to report their concerns, including a dedicated email (whistleblowing@eosits.com), and direct reporting to the HSEQ Manager, CEO, COO, or CCO. These channels are accessible, confidential, and allow for anonymous reporting if desired.
Investigation Process:
Upon receiving a report, it is reviewed by a designated team or officer who assesses its validity. If the report is deemed credible, a thorough investigation is conducted. This may involve gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and consulting relevant experts to ensure a fair and comprehensive investigation.
Resolution and Feedback:
Following the investigation, appropriate actions are taken to address the issue. This may include disciplinary measures, policy changes, or other corrective actions. The whistleblower is informed about the outcome of the investigation, ensuring transparency and trust in the system.
Training and Awareness:
We conduct regular training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees about environmental issues and the importance of reporting unethical behaviour. This helps foster a culture of openness and accountability within the organisation.
Continuous Improvement:
We regularly audit and review our whistleblowing mechanism to ensure its effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
