Position: Support Engineer

This role will be a telephone based 1st/2nd line support role where the primary focus is immediate problem resolution.

The team you will join, if successful, currently has day to day responsibility for the problem identification and resolution of all Telepresence endpoints and infrastructure.

The role will include some immediate onsite training with more field training with the different types of hardware. Day to day the successful applicant will be in charge of remote monitoring different client networks and Telepresence hardware. Proactively report any faults and trouble shoot to resolve customer raised cases.

Completing change requests to production hardware during scheduled windows

Shift patterns are used to enable 24x7 monitoring and support of Global networks

Essential Criteria

  • The successful candidate for this role will have a Computer Degree or Cisco certifications (CCNA level or higher)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting abilities
  • Work Effectively in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to engage with a multidisciplinary development team
  • Capable of workiing alone as well as part of a team

 

Desirable Criteria

 

  • Cisco certification
  • Experience working in a 24/7 support environment
  • Experience of Cisco TelePresence is desired but not essential as training will be provided
  • Network testing experience
  • ITIL certified
  • Second language advantageous 
  • A/V experience
